the Portsmouth Clinical Diagnostic Centre project
The project involves the provision of a new multi-modality Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) on the ground floor. A new out-patients department is being created on the first floor. A building wide refurbishment will be taking place including structural alterations, new mechanical and electrical services, new fixtures and fittings, and external works / landscaping.
The mammography unit on the ground floor of the building will remain operational during construction.
Construction Traffic & Parking
All contractors coming to site will have designated parking within the site compound to prevent any parking in nearby residential streets.
All deliveries to site have been scheduled to avoid busy times on the local roads, and will approach site through a designated route which avoids residential areas, schools etc.
No construction traffic is permitted to access site via or park in residential areas.
Noisy Works
Noisy works have been carefully planned to minimise any potential disruption. All plant that will be used in the immediate future will be electric to reduce both pollution and noise associated with diesel plant.
All works will be taking place internally for the majority of the project, therefore containing noise and dust.
