Working in occupied, operational healthcare facilities presents unique challenges primarily in maintaining business-as-usual activities whilst complex construction work is taking place. We have extensive experience, with tried and tested methodologies in managing logistics, equipment delivery and temporary works.
equipment delivery
We collaborate with specialist logistics partners to ensure efficient equipment deliveries. We manage all delivery requirements, coordinating with local authorities for road and pavement closures. Comprehensive lifting and logistics plans are provided to clients and third parties ahead of delivery. We co-ordinate all communication with manufacturers and other stakeholders to meet the agreed programme delivery deadline. Our dedicated site-based teams are present throughout the delivery process, including weekends and bank holidays, to guarantee seamless coordination.
temporary works
As part of our end-to-end service, Apollo will design and manage all temporary works requirements. Due to the nature of the imaging equipment, we are often required to design and manage a range of temporary works to facilitate the installation of any new supporting structures (to house the equipment) and the movement of the new equipment to often difficult to reach areas of the medical facility. We have installed the full range of imaging equipment into basements requiring bespoke, designed lifting platforms; through corridors requiring reinforced steel runners to take the weight of the equipment, and down lightwells with only mm's of clearance.
